Training with Jake has been fun and challenging, and I love that he can push me to do my best. There is nothing better than knowing you’re doing the right things for your body and mind. I used to hate to work out. HATE it. I would always take the first step and join a gym, and tell myself, “I am really going to do it this time, and I am going to LOVE it.” But if I am being honest, the gym memberships have been a huge waste of money for me. I never had motivation, and more importantly I never knew what I was doing and didn’t have the confidence either.

Then I heard about Jake! So I decided to go the personal trainer route, and see what happened! Well, pretty much my life changed, I have been consistently going to the gym at least three days a week for over 6 months… and it all started because of Jake!

Here’s the thing about Jake, he makes you think – wait, no not think, he makes your REALIZE that you can do anything you put your mind too, that there are no limitations just because you are overweight. You might be a little slower, or you might not be able to hold a plank for a whole minute but it doesn’t really matter, because he knows, and he makes you as his client know that you will eventually hold that plank and you will be faster and stronger!

I can do things now that I never thought would be possible 6 months ago. If I can be totally honest; I LOVE working out, I miss it when I don’t go, and I have confidence in myself that I haven’t had in years. Jake brought that back for me, and I will always be so thankful to him for that. He is one of the best trainers I have ever worked with! Thanks Jake!! You are one of the most inspiring people I know!!

I have been training with Jake for 3.5 months, and have loved every minute. His motivation and knowledge of fitness, health and nutrition keep me pushing myself. Jake is humble and quiet, yet he pushes me every workout. I love that he notices that I can do more, and puts a heavier weight in my hand, or tells me to go faster.

The last time I remember running was in middle school, and I did NOT enjoy it. I was the last one in, and had the slowest time. With the help of Freemotion and Jake, I can now run a mile in under nine minutes. It’s not the fastest time, but it’s nice to know I’m faster at 32 than I was at 12.

I have really enjoyed working on my fitness with Jake. He has a unique way of coaching. He always pushes me but not in the traditional way. He hands me weight or encourages me to take it to the next level, like he is proud that he can push me. I really like that. I am loving this. I know that I am definitely “FIT WITH JAKE.”

I met Jake about 6 months ago when my wife starting to go work out with him. I can only say Jake delivers! I always look forward to my training sessions with him because I know he isn’t going to take it easy on me. His workouts are fast and challenging but I leave feeling great and wanting to go back for more. The truth is, Jake makes you work for every drop of sweat and you feel like it is all worth it when your done.

I’m in Jake’s 5:30pm class. We did our mid assessments and I was really surprised. My metabolism is out of this world and I can’t gain weight. I gained 2.5 pounds of muscle and went from 12.5% body fat to 6%. Jake is so knowledgeable on fitness, if you want to just get by in a fitness class, don’t train with Jake. If you want awesome results, quick, and someone that will make your goals a reality then get with Jake. 🙂

Mission Impossible: Take a senior couple who has been married for over 40 years and who have established long standing eating habits, and lots of sedentary activities. Get them to overcome inertia (get off the couch!). Encourage them every… step of the way as they begin to work under your watchful eye. Push them a little more each time they come to work out so they can progress. Become a friend to both and an example of how to care for your body and improve your quality. Make them excited to come to a training session! That’s what it’s like to work out with Jake Saunders. Love you, Jake! Without you, we would have died on our mission!
